Set in the scenic KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Millgate Cottage is set amid beautiful countryside just off the R103, between Nottingham Road and Howick. Conveniently located for all private schools in the area, it is only 5km from Michaelhouse. Within easy reach of Midmar Dam and many Drakensberg Resorts, it is an easy drive to Mooi River (25-minutes), Howick (20 minutes) and Pietermaritzburg (35 minutes).

For relaxation seekers we offer superb three-star accommodation, B&B or self catering cottages, amid tranquil surroundings where guests enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

For entertainment we offer Mole Hill Mini Golf, a nine hole putt-putt course that will tease the golfing skills of both children and parents.

The Mole and Pig licensed Inn offers good food and drinks of choice that can be taken indoors or al fresco in Millgate’s lovely rose garden.

Thanks to The Mole and Pig’s a large screen satellite TV, there is no need to miss important sports matches while away from home. Between matches, darts challenges can be arranged.

For shoppers we offer The Glass Studio with its vast array of glass objects both sandblasted and kiln-formed. We have wrought iron items, wooden toys and bric-a-brac. Mole Hill’s quality shirts are made on the premises, and we can make some just for you.

For art-lovers Millgate Gallery is a feast of fine art made by professional artists who live in the area.

SELF-CATERING COTTAGES

Millgate Cottage’s two self-catering cottages have heating, fan, full-size stove, microwave, freezer/fridge, crockery and cutlery, linen, modern kitchens, braai facilities and DSTV (selected channels).

Cottage 1 – one bedroom, one bathroom. Using the double sleeper couch it sleeps four.

Cottage 2 – two bedrooms, separate bathroom and toilet. Using the double sleeper couch sleeps six 

SELF-CATERING SUITS

Millgate Cottage’s two self/catering units have electric heaters, electric blankets, fans, hot plates, microwave, fridge, crockery, linen, braai facilities and MNet TV.

Lulworth Cove – One bed-sitting room, en-suite bathroom, separate kitchen and breakfast nook and sleeps two.

Kimmeridge – One bedroom, one bed-sitting room complete with kitchenette one bathroom. Using the double sleeper couch it sleeps four. By prior arrangement, a spare bed can be added to any of the above.

B&B

Durdle Door - has one double and one single bed with an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities, MNet TV sleeping three.
